Requirements to Become an RN in Alabama
To become an RN in Alabama, you must first earn an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing school. Your training will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). This is a two-part evaluation that you must successfully complete before you can obtain an RN license in Alabama.
After passing the NCLEX-RN, you can apply for an RN license from the Alabama State Board of Nursing.
