Requirements to Become an RN in North Carolina
To achieve RN licensure in North Carolina (and other states), you must graduate from an accredited RN training program. You can choose to pursue an associate degree in nursing (ADN) or a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN), depending on your career goals and how quickly you want to enter the workforce. Both programs prepare you for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
To complete North Carolina's RN licensing exam, contact the North Carolina Board of Nursing to find a testing site near you.
